In  2005, Angela began conducting "voluntary" teen talk sessions for young ladies living in public housing in Atlanta, Georgia.  After several sessions, the group of 13 participants adopted the name, "Just Girls!".  Initially, the focus was female health and abstinence-based sex education but once the need was realized for more in-depth education, the curriculum was expanded to include topics on self-esteem, substance use, dating violence, work/study skills, and early finance.  Some of the activities included field trips, an annual Mother/Daughter Luncheon, and annual Christmas pajama parties. These sessions continued until 2009, when the housing communities permanently closed.

Although the program dissolved, Angela's vision never died! In January 2022, the vision was reawakened, and the program was revamped.  A new logo was designed along with a new and improved curriculum which includes a multi-series program on self-esteem, sexual, mental and physical health, study skills, etiquette, and financial literacy. Several of the classes are named in honor of three important ladies in Angela's life:  Lady Lashelle's  "All Things Etiquette!",  Doris Dixon-Banks' Study & Work Skills Development, and Jada Banks' Nutrition & Physical Fitness.

Angela's mission is to empower young ladies through fun-filled, life-enhancing activities with the knowledge and skills to maximize their life’s potential as they transition into ladies and grow into women!
